JACOB Is a plein air painter based in London, his artistic practice is almost exclusively rooted in plein air (outdoor/from life) location based, observational painting.

I find that through painting outdoors the quality of light and feeling I get from the places I visit comes across in the sense of place in the paintings capturing a moment in time.

My work predominantly focuses on the natural landscapes around the UK and places I’ve lived with some urban scenes around London. Light is a large factor in my work again trying to evoke a sense of place and atmosphere.
